With all the sickness floating around, I’ve had tons of requests on how to prevent illness or recover faster. And with all the unsafe advice floating around the internet in regards to safety around kids, that has been the most popular constraint. How do I keep my entire family safe from the flu?
Well, this recipe is a great start. All of these oils are safe for children and adults, without losing any muscle!
This is a diffuser recipe, which I prefer for general wellness. It makes it through the entire body (most importantly into the brain to help ramp up your immune system!) faster without being processed by the liver or stomach. Important when you want whole body wellness!
If you love this recipe, I’d suggest making a master blend (good use for the empty essential oil bottles) and let this recipe mellow together to make it even better! Plus, convenience factor!
You can use any citrus for the Bergamot and/or Orange. I chose Bergamot and Orange because they are the most calming of the citruses, so good for diffusing at night. The other more common citruses – Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit – are also great for warding off germs and boosting the immune system, but are more energetic, so better for daytime.
Subs for Douglas Fir… ahhh… I am in love with this oil. If you sign up for the February Oil of the Month, you get Douglas Fir AND Silver Fir – for $20, or only $15 if you do auto-subscribe! Both are so great! They smell fresh and clean and are wonderful for immune support and germ fighting and calming moods. But, if you don’t have it, you can sub any pine, fir, or spruce you have available. I have several conifers because they are just so handy for blends. They calm a top heavy (lots of citrus or florals) blend or brighten a base heavy blend.
